Punjab's forts, gurdwaras, havelis, and shrines carry centuries of history, and many are undocumented, unprotected, or slowly disappearing. Khoj-e-Virasat is an attempt to build a living, public record of them — written and verified by the people who visit, research, and care about these places, not a one-time survey that goes stale.
Anyone can browse and search for free. Sign in to propose a new site, suggest an edit, or add photos — each submission is reviewed before it goes live and earns points once approved: 15 for a new site, 5 for an edit, 3 for photos. Your first approved contribution makes you a contributor; 10 approved contributions make you a trusted contributor, whose submissions publish immediately instead of waiting in the review queue. Points accumulate on your public profile and rank you on the leaderboard.
Spotted an error, an outdated year, or a site that's missing entirely? Use "Suggest an edit" on the site's page, or add it as a new site — it goes through the same review process as everything else, so incorrect changes don't go live unchecked.
